Geography
On the northern coast of South America, consisting of a continental landmass and many islands and islets in the Caribbean Sea and with a territorial extension of 916,445 sq. kilometres. Venezuela is bordered on the north by the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, on the west by Colombia, Brazil on the south, Trinidad and Tobago to the north-east and on the east by Guyana.
Climate
Its climate varies from humid low-elevation plains to glaciers and highlands (the páramos). Another characteristic of the climate is this variation throughout the country by the existence of a mountain range called "Cordillera de la Costa", which crosses the country from east to west. The majority of the population lives in these mountains.
Culture
The dominance within Venezuelan culture reflects indigenous and Spanish spice, as well as regional Caribbean and Andean influences! Venezuelans are overwhelmingly described as warm people, ready to bring you to their table with open arms, all generally unified by a passion for equality!
Gastronomy
Venezuelan gastronomy passes through a rich cultural history, grabbing the traditions and stews that they prefer most, seizing from European, West African, and Native American customs alike! Though the cuisine varies greatly from region to region, you can expect corn, rice, plantains, yams, bean and many different meat types!
Typical dishes include fried bananas and rice, oftentimes with meat that will change depending on where you are at in the country! Crabollo pabellón is the national dish made with white rice, black beans, plantains, and shredded meat.
