Old Recife

It marks the beginning of the city in the 16th century, due to its natural port. The area is full of exciting points: Marco Zero Square and its panel "The Compass Rose" by Cícero Dias; the Park of Sculptures Francisco Brennand, on the pier of the port; late 17th century buildings and eclectic 20th century buildings; and much more...

The museum was opened in reference to this traditional music and dance style, which was declared Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2012. In order to perpetuate and spread the culture of frevo, Paço do Frevo has permanent and temporary exhibitions, dance and music schools, a documentation centre, a recording studio and online radio.

Cais do Sertão

It is a museum of international standard and one of the most modern cultural facilities of the country. Francisco Brennand Workshop

It began in 1971 from the ruins of a pottery place from the early 20th century. The former brick and tile factory, surrounded by remnants of Atlantic Forest and the waters of Capibaribe River, “Ceramicas São José” became a source of inspiration and history for the artist Francisco Brennand.
