Tamandaré
Located about 105 kilometres from Recife, Tamandaré houses some of the most beautiful beaches of Pernambuco. The one also called Tamandaré is popular during the summer. With increasing improvement of the infrastructure and offering more leisure and gastronomy options, Tamandaré is attracting an ever-increasing flow of tourists, who have at their feet a beach with a wide strip of sand and a massive wall of coral reef capable of providing a quiet and relaxing bath.
Praia dos Carneiros
Praia dos Carneiros, considered one of Brazil’s most beautiful beaches, is also the main target of the country’s resorts. The boat rides are not to be missed on the rivers Ariquindá and Formoso, with small beaches and mangroves.
Ipojuca
Ipojuca is the city with the longest coastline in Pernambuco. There are 32 kilometres of white sand and crystal-clear water beaches, as well as many spots perfect for surfing. The first stop is in Porto de Galinhas, where you can access other paradise-like places, such as Muro Alto, Cupe, Maracaípe and Pontal de Maracaípe. Ipojuca also has Enseadinha and Serrambi beaches.
Infrastructure for tourism
Ipojuca has excellent lodging and services infrastructure. Porto de Galinhas and Muro Alto concentrate some of the best resorts of the Northeast/Brazil. But the region offers lodging in various styles, from hotels and inns to summer clubs and camping.
