Pernambuco State
Tourism is the State’s true economic vocation. Its biggest attraction is its coastline which stretches along 187 kilometres between beaches, mangroves, and cliffs, many practically untouched areas. Not to mention the beautiful archipelago Fernando de Noronha, which is popular with Brazilian and international tourists throughout the year.
Pernambuco can also be a paradise for those who love extreme sports, such as in the city of Bonito, where the temperature is surprisingly fresh. The city of Gravatá, 80 kilometres from Recife, reaches an altitude of 447 metres. In June and July, it attracts thousands of visitors for its pleasant temperature and local cuisine.

Feira de Caruaru, the biggest free festival in the world, is considered a Cultural Heritage of Brazil by IPHAN. Teatro de Nova Jerusalém, the biggest open-air theatre in the world, includes a production of the Passion of Christ each year. Serra do Catimbau National Park, located between the Agreste and Sertão regions, is formed by a series of mountains, valleys, and rocks strewn over 90,000 hectares. Its enormity and untouched nature are breathtaking. Serra Negra, in Bezerros, is located at an altitude of 960 metres, where its temperatures can dip to 9º C, and is surrounded by an ecological reserve. São Francisco Valley is home to dozens of vineyards and is ideal for those who love good wine.
