Minas Gerais is an ecological paradise
- Minas Gerais is an ecological paradise, and the parks within the State are perfect for the study and observation of flora and fauna, including:
- Cerrado vegetation in the west and Caatinga in the north
- Parks – orchids, bromeliads, candeias, lichens, ferns and campas rupestres
- Major rivers including the São Francisco river, the principal river running through Minas Gerais, as well as waterfalls
- Hidden caves with rivers, waterfalls, stalactites and stalagmites, bones from large extinct animals, ancient stone tools and rare limestone formations and inscriptions
- Mountains and caves that make up the Minas ecosystem where protected species such as the maned wolf, giant anteaters, pumas ocelots, deer-pampas and merganser may be found.
